About Amisha
I am a first year medical student. I received three qualifications at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. I also received an AS-level in an extended project (EPQ). I want to teach because, during my GCSE years, I struggled to receive the right support and had to develop my own methods to do well. Through this experience, I learned the importance of personalised, effective strategies for overcoming challenges in each subject. I want to pass these methods on to other students, helping them feel empowered and in control of their learning. My goal is not just to prepare them for exams, but to support them in applying this knowledge in world around them. Teaching allows me to share these tools and inspire confidence in students, so they can develop more curiosity in their subjects.

I mix different approaches within my lessons to maximise the engagement and enhanced learning experience of the student. Some of the techniques I use are guided problem solving, concept based learning and practice and repetition. I believe that different students will have different needs and learning styles, therefore I cater the way I teach depending on the student. I also regularly ensure to incorporate feedback and help students to reflect their learning. The typical length of a lesson may vary from student to student based on their age and learning requirements. For example, younger students may benefit from short (30-45 minutes) but more frequent lessons whereas older students tend to benefit from longer (45-60 minutes) focused sessions. I have taught a few GCSEs students in the past, both online and face to face. As a newly qualified A-level student on a gap-year I believe that I can provide a fresh way of teaching students at GCSE and younger (KS3). My experiences with a variety of students has taught me effective ways to teach and communicate complex ideas in bite size chunks.

Perfect! "As they say, the first impression is the last impression. My daughter has often declined to join tutorials after the first session, but with Amisha, it was a completely different story. She was overly excited to continue after just one meeting! After only a few sessions with Amisha, I can already see amazing improvements. Thank you Amisha, for your incredible teaching skills. Parisa is absolutely looking forward to learning more from you and will undoubtedly remain your tutee until she passes her GCSEs—I’m 100% sure of that!"
- Impressive work from Parisa! Things to improve would be having a look at a few more expanding the bracket questionsAmisha's response :

Amisha has taught me for a few months and she puts a lot of effort into her lessons by preparing informative slideshows that really help with my revision. I would definitely recommend as she always crafts her lessons in way that helps me personally and is very knowledgeable about any topics that I struggle in, regardless of the subject.
While my daughter was doing GCSE, Amisha was recommended by family friends. Amisha is a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor who taught physics, maths and biology. Her teaching made my daughter achieve her desired grades.
Amisha has a very thoughtful way of explaining difficult topics that is easy to follow and understand.
