About Maya
I attended the University of New Haven to achieve a degree in forensic science, which is a highly competitive program to get into as it is one of the few accredited forensic science programs in the United States. Furthermore, the forensic science program that I went through had a long list of required courses, which has allowed me to obtain a considerable amount of knowledge on a variety of STEM subjects such as chemistry and physics. This not only makes me a versatile tutor, but it also allows me to properly inform students who are interested in pursuing forensics about the expectations of the program as well as what possible fields in forensic science that they may want to look into more. Lastly, due to my personal affinity for medicine and the biological sciences, I have a biology concentration associated with my degree, which showcases my expertise in the biological sciences, especially on human anatomy and physiology.

As a forensic science student, the bulk of my knowledge is related to a variety of STEM subjects. I am especially knowledgeable to subjects related to biology, as well as human anatomy and physiology! On the other hand, due to the rigor of my program at the University of New Haven as a forensic science student, I am also comfortable with teaching and assisting students struggling in chemistry and mathematics.
