About Rishi

Hi, I'm Rishi, a dedicated academic coach and Superprof Ambassador specialising in KS3 Mathematics and 11+ entrance exam preparation. As a former student of Herschel Grammar School who personally scored 127/141 and 138/141 in the 11+ exams, achieved an A* in GCSE Maths, and graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Financial Economics, I have a deep personal and professional understanding of what it takes to excel within the UK competitive education system.

Having also spent years mentoring individuals in high-focus, high-pressure competitive environments, I bring a unique, highly strategic approach to academic tutoring. I coach students of all abilities—from those struggling to find their footing in secondary school maths, to ambitious pupils aiming to follow in my footsteps and secure spots at competitive grammar and independent schools. My goal is to make numbers make sense and help students enjoy consistent improvement through clear, structured, and engaging lessons.

Every student learns differently, which is why my lessons are highly interactive, adaptive, and tailored entirely to your child's individual pace. I ensure the environment is supportive and engaging so that maths becomes rewarding rather than stressful.

Whether your child needs to build solid foundational maths skills for secondary school or is striving to pass competitive grammar school entrance exams, each lesson includes personalised guidance and materials selected to fit their goals:

• Core Concept Mastery (KS3): Step-by-step logic for algebra, ratios, percentages, fractions, geometry, and probability.
• 11+ Numerical Reasoning: Mental maths mastery, fast-paced word problems, and data interpretation shortcuts.
• Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning: Spatial awareness, pattern recognition, coding, and matrix logic for GL/CEM styles.
• Exam Speed & Time Management: Pacing drills and structural shortcuts to accurately answer questions under strict exam conditions.
• Mental Focus & Confidence: Strategies to eliminate exam anxiety, build independent problem-solving skills, and stay calm under pressure.

Typical formats include:

• One-on-one coaching tailored to your child's pace and academic targets.
• Small group sessions (2–4 people) for collaborative learning and shared cost.

Sessions start at £30/hr in-person and online, with travel ranging from free in Uxbridge to £25 in London.
