About Nicholas
I am a current sophomore college student studying in Math and Physics. I love teaching, and tutoring has been my main outlet. I enjoy my interactions with students and love when they finally have the 'aha' moments.
I was commonly put into a tutoring role from other students. I personally loved being put into these high authority roles. Especially because teaching is what makes kids grow into better and smarter people.
I am currently attending North Central College. I am majoring in Mathematics and Education. I am currently taking Calculus 3.

I try and understand them as a person better and to understand their mentality to math first. Normally it isn't them being "bad", just having the wrong mindset that can hinder their abilities.
I have worked with kids in many classes and one kid in an actual tutoring environment. But like I said earlier I am still relatively new to this whole tutoring thing.
Look for someone where you're not feeling looked down upon. I feel like having a teacher that is so incredibly smart can make that dynamic feel restrictive. I have had plently of teachers in the past who were too smart for their own good that it makes that student/teacher dynamic feel like the students are dumb. I feel like being on that level with the students can close that gap and make you respect them more.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Well first, no question is ever stupid. Even simple questions can help fill in blanks for students, and giving them a sacastic tone or looking down on them can make them feel dumb and make them question their abilities. But questions students should be asking are not surface level questions but overarching to connect concepts and asking 'why?' about things. Finding why it works the way does.

Currently I am unsure with which I want to be payed, but I am looking for $15-$40 a hour. I'm just so new to this whole thing that I have no idea what my experience to price should be.
