About Diego
Hello! My name is Diego Sanchez and I have been tutoring students in various subjects for over 10 years now. I did my undergraduate and graduate degreees in civil engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I tutored students in math, physics, calculus, and Spanish.
I am currently working as an urban planner for the County of Maui and love to use my tutoring sessions to not only get students to improve their knowledge of their subject, but also as a way for them to develop relevant problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
I love math and physics! Anything with numbers, formulas and logic resonates deeply with my anylitical mind. I love seeing students appreciate the beauty and order of math and the natural laws of physics for the first time. Instilling a sense of wonder and appreciation for these subjects greatly helps people be more engaged during tough problems and homework sets, so I enjoy trying to make the material relevant to the real-world.
One of my physics professors offered me a tutorng job after one semester of taking his class. He saw that I had a passion for explaining tough concepts to other students, so I got hired.

Details
Generally charge $50 per hour, but can offer a sliding scale of $40-$60 depending on amount of hours and subject matter. For advanced math (pre-calc, calc), I generally do $50 an hour. Happy to discuss and I am very flexibile!
