About Tara

Math tutor that is passionate about assisting young students with accomplishing their academic goals. Experience with 1st - 5th grade students, as well as special needs individuals. I served as an intelligence professional in the military so I am detail-oriented and an abstract thinker. I will strive to find creative and effective ways to help children learn.

Originally, I intended on becoming a Special Needs educator and served as an assistant for nearly a year. However, my goals shifted and I became interested in Mathematics. Serving as a math tutor fulfills all of my interests.

I have an AA in intelligence studies and I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Mathematics. Additionally I have training and experience working with elementary age students and special needs individuals.

About the lesson

First and foremost, I hope to listen to the student's needs and areas of concern. I will focus and tailor practice to appropriately fulfill their and their parents expectations. I can build worksheets or simply helped with school provided work. I will make every effort to provide the need the needed time and focused energy to every one of my students.

I have worked with elementary students, up to sixth grade, as well as special needs students of all capabilities.

Ensure the teacher is willing to listen to your needs. A tutor should be excited to see and work with you, and ultimately help you strive academically.

Recently, I separated from the military and had my first daughter. Though she is still very young, I know that I intend on giving her every opportunity to succeed. That short of passion is what I hope to bring to my tutoring venture.
