About Max

I began tutoring math and science in high school as part of a service project. I realized that I loved seeing my students succeed in their coursework and accomplish academic feats they never thought possible in the past.

Motivated by my desire to see my students succeed, I continued tutoring in college. Watching my college students ace their challenging coursework gave made me so proud and I wanted to continue tutoring after college.

After college, I applied and was accepted in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, but after two years I realized that my true passion was tutoring and mentorship. So, I decided to leave medical school to pursue a career in these fields.

I graduated with honors from the University of Miami in 2018 with a degree in Neuroscience. I was accepted into medical school at the University of Miami and spent two years in medical school before leaving to pursue a career in tutoring and mentorship.

About the lesson

I will first have an introductory meeting (no more than 15 minutes) where I will explain the methods I use and the policies I have. We will also go over the student's needs and goals to ensure they get the most out of tutoring.

Each tutoring session is tailored specifically to each student. Brief introductions allow me to better understand the student and better design each session around each student.

I have worked with high school and college students in Algebra 2, Biology, General Chemistry, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, and Genetics.

I would advise a student that these courses are not easy and it's a really good sign that they are reaching out for help. Fortunately for the student, I have work with many other students and helped them succeed in a variety of different courses.
