About Neha

My service stands out because I am passionate about teaching and I hope to instill motivation in my students in a unique manner. I create individualized study plans catered to every students needs and work tirelessly to ensure that my students achieve their highest potential. I am also very flexible and only care about my students and how to personally help them grow into bright individuals.

I enjoy teaching because I find comfort in helping my students. I know how my teachers in the past have influenced me positively and have made me a bright student. I hope to provide for my students in the same way.

I have worked for Kumon part-time for a four years. I provided private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance in literature and mathematics. I worked with students aged from 4-18 years old. Additionally, I was a self-employed tutor during my summer vacations to provide instruction to individuals who needed assistance with standardized test preparation and college applications.

About the lesson

Introducing myself to a new student requires a trusting environment and one in which the student knows that he/she can be completely honest about their educational needs. I typically start with providing background information about myself and how I am as a student myself. I engage with my students and tell them about myself so they know who I am and how I am going to help them. It is important for me to become a friend to my students so I can better instill positive motivation in them. Then, depending on the content the student needs help with, I begin to assess his/her strengths and weaknesses regarding the material. Based on that, I begin to develop a study plan.
