About Matthew

I'm a certified Mathematics and Robotics teacher. I have over 18 years of teaching experience in grades 5 - 9. I've taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry at each of these grade levels. I also teach programming and Robotics.

I love teaching and inspiring Middle School and High School students to achieve their best. I love coaching Robotics teams to be competitive in competititions. I also enjoy tutoring Math students and watching their confidence grow over time as their skillset improves.

I went back to school to get my Masters. I had a previous career in software engineering.

About the lesson

I first chat with them a little bit to get to know who they are and what their Mathematical strengths and weaknesses are. Then we start looking at what concepts they are currently challenged by and go from there.

All types grades 5 - 9.

Be consistant. Any tutor can solve your current assignment challenges. However, by developing a tutoring routine all mathematical areas can be strengthened independent of a current assignment task.

My robotics team qualified for the Robotics World Championships last year.
