About Isabella
I am a high school student at The Hun School of Princeton who is enrolled at Boston University in the class of 2024. I have received honors recognition for every semester of high school and have taken extensive honors and AP courses received high 90s in all courses. In middle school I struggled in figuring out how to best understand a topic. As a current high school student I understand how students best learn in a joyful yet effective way. It becomes frustrating at times when topics seem so complex that your head starts spinning, but I know how to explain concepts in a simplified manner that allows the student to fully comprehend the depth of the topic. For 2 years I volunteered at my schools peer tutoring center where I worked with high school and middle school students on homework and essays, and also met regularly with some students for specific classes.
As a high school student in a competitive preparatory school I understand the level of rigor that many courses present, and after going through a variety of courses I understand how to present complex topics in a simplified manner.

When working with a new student I would ask them to identify where they struggle the most and how they feel I would be msot effective in teaching them.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should think about their stuggles in a calm manner to bring about a rational solution. They should ask themselves, what about this topic is confusing and how can someone explain this in a way that is understandable?
