About Nitza

Is your child struggling with reading and scoring below grade level?

Does doing math homework result in a fight every night?

I CAN HELP!

I have more than 15 years of experience helping Elementary and Middle school students learn and apply strategies to succeed in math and reading.

I use various tools to assess every child and provide accurate feedback and an individualized plan.

Students meet at least twice a week following a step-by-step program that targets their specific needs.

I also offer homework help, and test preparation.

My students recover their confidence and their love for learning :)

Nitza Dalmau

I have worked educating children for more than 20 years. Had my own Family Daycare and have been tutoring for more than ten years. Worked as substitute teacher while getting my Master Degree and Teaching Certificate. Had worked as an adult educator for more than 8 years for Miami-Dade College and the Department of Children and Families, and for Miami-Dade County School District. Had taught Intensive Math, Algebra 1 and 2, Math for College Readiness and ESOL to children and adults.

1. Master's Degree in Special Education grades K to 12 from University of Phoenix

2. Florida Certified Teacher in Special Ed (K-12), and Math grades 5 to 12.

3. Bachelor's in Business Administration, major Finance. Knowledge of Stocks Market Trading strategies and analysis, and Technical indicators.

4. Vast experience in advancing students in Math at the school and college levels

5. Vast experience in helping elementary level students to learn to read.

6. Bilingual: English and Spanish

About the lesson

Our learning system has three pillars: MINDSET, ASSESSMENT, UNDERSTANDING

1. Assess student's needs - Consultation meeting

2. Set up goals and plan of action

3. Tutoring adapted to specific student's needs

Have worked with students from Pre-K to Master Degree levels, and children with disabilities.

Well, my expierience have been wonderful, my son and daughter learned a lot of math with Ms. Dalmau in his class of math tutoring. The methodology that she used with each child is different, I think that this form is exeptional cause each child is diferent and understand of different way.
