About Emilie
My name is Mrs. Sewell. I have been with the school district for 12 years now and have varied experiences with students from K-12 but most are with elementary level students. Math is my favorite subject to teach but somehow knowledgeable with other subjects such as English Language, Reading, Writing and Sciences.
I love working with students and see them progress in their studies. I always feel that sense of fulfillment when my student becomes successful.
My teaching experience in the Philippines led me to find a job in the field of education when I migrated here in the US.
I had a degree of BSChemical Engineering so I basically have a good Nath background. My varied experience in the Clark County School District will help me to tutor my students.

First of all I would like to get to know my students, then assess them of their basic knowledge on the subject they need help, and work from to their current lesson.
I've worked with students K-12 at CCSD and with Special Ed students. Most of my experience is on elementary level. Presently working with the first graders, those new in the country to learn our English Language and those struggling with their lessons.
Pray for a good teacher to help them with their difficulties and improve their grades.
Recently, the students had pizza with the principal and it was a joy for me to see some students that I work with receiving an award.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think students should be very honest about themselves. What difficulties they have and the factors that contributed to these difficulties so they can talk about these to the teacher. With these information, the teacher will know better what to do and where to start in helping the students.
