Kate Mehmel is an incredible mathematician and teacher. She fostered interest and understanding in every level of math she taught me. I have gone on to pursue mathematics in higher education, and attribute a majority of my ability in and passion for the subject to Mrs. Mahmel.

Mrs. Mehmel is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Math is already a difficult subject due to the material but also because many students have a natural aversion to it. She took that subject and made it interesting and enjoyable without watering it down in anyway.

Kate Mehmel was a phenomenal teacher. She could take any formula or mathmatical concept and make it manageable no matter what level of math her students were. She understood the balance of challenging her students to better them while taking the time to help them understand without leaving a single student behind. I have two sisters all of us at different levels of math. Both of my sisters struggled year after year in math and absolutely believed they hated math. Once they had Kate they were no longer struggling in math and began to take a liking to it.

She also has an infectious love for the subject matter that can make even the most math-averse student become intrigued and engaged. I had the privilege of taking advanced algebra and calculus with Kate in high school, and with her help I felt extremely well prepared for the AP Calculus exam and college-level math courses. She could not be more highly recommended.

I had Kate Mehmel as my high school math teacher for both Algebra II and Pre-calculus. She is very Knowledgeable about many types of math and does a great job of explaining how to complete the different kinds of problems. She will go at your speed and still manage to get you on track. She is also super nice and approachable and makes math tolerable, if not even fun. I’d definitely recommend Kate!
