About Allison

I have always been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in learning and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students. I have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits, as my resume will attest.

In the past 5 years, I have been an Instructional Coach for teachers k-8. In this role, I help teachers become more effective in the classroom so that students improve their academic performance. The specialized professional development & my experiences administration, as well as classrooms, has provided unique opportunities to learn about every aspect of education. Additionally, I have built curricula for Coding and STEM classes. These classes are rooted in empathy with tenants of Design Thinking, the Engineering Design Process, & Depth of Inquiry. I provide teachers and students with authentic tools, organic materials, and real challenges to encourage students’ love of learning, curiosity about the world, ability to engage, courage to take risks, and determination to do amazing things. I do all this to spark adventure and wonder, and build the character of students to take on the world’s greatest challenges.

As a veteran educator with a wide breadth of experiences, I look forward to working with each individual to create & implement a personalized learning plan that is flexible in order to reach your full potential. I am passionate about 21st Century education because it allows for students to learn outside of the school walls by working with experts and creating solutions to real-world problems. These benefits are further materialized when students can feel a connection to where they live, their community. I see how these ideals are also paramount to you by looking over your website. It would be an honor to teach your students and serve a school that maintains high educational standards and provides students with unique opportunities for personal growth.

Plan: I will create a personal learning plan that’s unique to your child, so he or she can achieve success quickly.

Teach: I will guide instruct, & adapt to your child's skill level and pace. (Yes, those are smiles you’re seeing!)

Apply: Results matter — to you and to me! I measure and reward progress to engage your child.
