About Amelia
Hello! My name is Amelia and I’m a tutor who wants to help families with learning during these tumultuous times. Are you seeking:
Expert one-on-one online tutoring via Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet for students ages 7-18 in math (through calculus 1), English, social studies, Mandarin Chinese, English for Speakers of Other Languages, or elementary/middle school science?
Encouraging and patient support for students who are struggling to learn or stay focused in an online learning environment?
Expanded curriculum for students who are seeking additional challenges beyond their remote learning requirements?
In-person one-on-one instruction and supervision of online learning? (exclusively for families who are observing quarantine measures)
I’ve been an educator for 5 years, most recently as a full-time professional tutor at a “boutique” learning center in Northern Virginia. I’m moving to Evanston to pursue a Master’s in Education at Northwestern, and I’m bringing my enthusiasm, patience, and expertise on middle and high school curriculum with me! I can provide your student with accountability, additional instruction, supplemental resources, review of foundational material from previous school years, and patient, student-centered synchronous instruction. This semester, I’m available Monday- Thursday 9am-5pm.
