About Benjamin
Whenever I meet with a new student, I begin our work together by identifying the target areas that present difficulty to the student. I try to find any fundamental concepts and techniques that need strengthening and build on top of those, working towards current coursework and more specific skills.
I have a long record of improving my students' conceptual understanding of abstract topics of varying difficulty, from adding real numbers to solving non-linear differential equations. I have a fresh, reliable approach to math and science education, based on tailoring custom programs that make these concepts accessible.
I began teaching at the tutoring center in the Physics Dept. at City College.
I have a BS in Physics and an MS in Electircal Engineering. I have been teaching STEM topics for 10 years.

I start the new student process by working to quickly identify their problem areas by using basic diagnostics that are associated with the subject in question. We then build a custom program aimed at overcoming challenging ideas and improving academic performance.
