About Ananya

Hi! My names Ananya and I'm currently a sophomore at Interlake High School. I’ve always been a curious student and love to learn and explore more about topics than my text books.

The STEM courses have always been my area of interest and strength. After a year in the gifted program, I decided to take an opportunity to study ahead in math by another year; allowing me to be currently ahead in math by 2 years compared to most honors students. In middle school I explored classes in python and algebra at the high school level and as I entered high school I have decided to take some of the most rigorous classes my school has to offer.

This year I am exploring AP computer Science, Gifted Chemistry, AP World History, and IB Math Applications HL1. My Course Selection shows that I'm proactive and I drive my own learning.

I also have prior experience working with kids and teens as I've volunteered at summer camps and taught math.

I would love to help out and tutor kids or teens in any subject!

I enjoy spending time with kids and helping them learn. I'm good at understanding how the student sees the problem since I am a student.

Helping kids understand new concepts is fun and enjoyable for me.

At first i was just helping out student at school with learning and went to help people outside of school.

I haven't tutored yet but I am skilled in many subjects and am good at talking and helping students out.

I'm a sophmore at Interlake Highschool whos in the gifted IB (international baccalaureate) program. I take classes that challenege me and do well in school.

I'm also 2 years ahead of my grade level in math which means im currently doing 12th grade math rather then tenth.

I'm also skilled in working with kids as i have worked with kids and teens before in math and other subjects such as English and Science.

About the lesson

Our first lesson will be centered around finding out what the student already knows and where the gaps are in their knowledge. Doing this will help me to determine what to focus on. I will also talk to the student about their goals, and figure out the best way to proceed.

I usually work with elementary school kids but I have worked with middle schoolers before. I know all the content reviewed in both levels fairly well.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should first think through what they know and what concepts they need help learning. If students let me know the day before i can cover the content early and help give assignments to further their learning.

No I don't, I can discuss with the parent or student about what price they are thinking of per hour. But, Im thinking around 18 dollars an hour.
