About Allison
I try to customize my tutoring to the students learning strategy! I know that all students learn differently, so when first meeting with them I first try to understand how they learn best. This helps us both maximize our time together and for my students to become great at math!
I love working with students, and I also love math! I think that teaching is one of the most rewarding things, and so I love being able to tutor students.
I am a 3rd year undergraduate at UCLA and am majoring in physiology. I have tutored many students throughout high school and college, and have a love for helping others!

When working with new students, I like to first get a sense of their goals and where they are at. I do this through taking to them, and by giving them a few diagnostic problems. I also believe that all students learn differently, so I use this time to learn myself about their ways of thinking so I can best assist them to master their material!
I would tell students to not be afraid to try out multiple different tutors! Everyone has a different way of teaching things, and while I try my best to adjust my teaching style to the student's preference, I may not be the perfect tutor for you. Keep looking and find someone who will help you learn the best while still challenging you and helping your mind grow!

Typically, I charge $50 / hour of tutoring. This is because I spend a substantial amount of time preparing for each tutoring session with my students to ensure they get the most for what they are paying during their tutoring session. I believe that this approach maximizes efficiancy and helps the student learn to their greatest potential!
