About Zerin
I genuinely care about my students and not just about money. I do not use any negative words to describe my students. I always encourage my students and inspire them to improve in math and science or in any other subjects. I was bullied as a child and I know very well what not to do.
I love breaking down dififcult topics into multiple simple steps and enjoy watching students problem solve.
I have been teaching my younger siblings and cousins from a very young age. After I graduated High School, I started teaching and I continued peer tutoring throughout my college life. I'm very passionate about teaching. I love encouraging students who are struggling in class and when students improve their grades it brings me joy.
I taught Elementary to High School students for 5 years in Bangladesh. I taught students math, science, history, English, geography, and social studies. Recently, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Arizona State University. I had to take math classes involving advanced statistics, R-Studio, algebra, geometry, function, exponential function, logarithm, quadratic equations, graph etc. to obtain my bachelor’s degree. I have also taken biology, microbiology, physics, chemistry, astronomy, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, geography, psychology-101, python and java classes at Genesee Community college and at Forsyth Tech Community College. I have done a lot of peer tutoring throughout my college life. I will start the process of obtaining my teaching license from Fall 2022. I have successfully completed 120-hours TESOL certification. I also completed Early Childhood Education and Training Program through New York State Office of Children and Family Services. I’m passionate about teaching students. I’m patient and I can quickly adapt to different student’s needs. I have worked with students from different socio-economic background.

I would like to know what the student need help with in detail and then I determine if I would be the right person to help the student. I need to know the subjects the students need help with, what kind of problems the student is facing and what are the avaiability of the student.
I have worked with a diverse group of students. Some of my students come from low income background and others were from middle and upper class families. I worked with students whose first language was not English. I worked with students who were weak at math and science when I first started tutoring them but they improved their grades and confidence later.
Check if the teacher has a minimum Bachelor degree, work experience, caring and patient personality and if the teacher can teach the subjects you are struggling with.
Recently, I visited my favorite local Thai restaurant. The manager of the place knows me very well and what I usually order. I ordered my favorite vegan pho with tofu. I was chatting with the restaurant manager and he then revealed to me how much he likes my presence as a customer. I paid the bill and I was about to leave the restaurant. The manager handed me large Reese chocolate bars for free as I was about to leave the restaurant. I was not expecting to receive free Reese chocolates.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is the topic?
What is exactly being learned within the topic?
What is confusing? Where am I getting stuck and why?
Sometimes students cannot articulate their needs and that is fine too. A good teacher will ask students the right questions to figure out a solution.

Zerin is a very kind, compassionate and effective teacher. She always motivated me when I got stuck in algebra and physics. She is very punctual, disciplined and fun to work with. I like how patient and calm she was while I was struggling in math and science.
