About Christopher

I have over ten years of University level teaching experience in both Graphic Design and Fine Arts, ranging from basic to advanced drawing, 2D & 3D design, as well I am well versed in Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.

I have an MFA & BFA in Fine Art. I can sculpt, drawing, paint, take photographs and work with computers. I have worked with a wide range of students from 8 to 80 years of age, and I'm very patient and passionate about sharing my knowledge with you.

When I went to graduate school I started teaching at Northern Illinois University as an assistant to my professors.

About the lesson

We will start with an introduction and then review / discuss any prior training or skills on the subject they wish to learn to then determine what direction to take. We would then discuss lesson pricing and the amount of classes the student would need to take in order to accomplish their goals. Afterwards we would start with some demonstrations and exercises, followed by lessons and assignment schedules.

I have work with high school age all the way up to a 94 year old. I have worked with multiple special needs students as well.

I will be the best instructor to prvide you with a thorough understandting or fine art drawing techniques as well good practices to improve your abiltiy to see and sketch.

I was awarded an Excellence in Teaching Award from my college for going above and beyond to provide my students with new tools and experiences by taking them on a fieldtrip, which included a workshop and demonstrations and historical components.

What they want to accomplish as long-term goals, techniques they might be interested in but need further instruction with and how the scale of the work they would like to make in the near future will determine the materials cost they will need to buy, ship and store depending on their desire to exhibit.
