About Ana

I have participated in fine arts related subjects for well over a decade at this time. I would love to share my knowledge with either drawing or music related skills to others interested. I have had experience in teaching smaller groups for about two years now and would like to start working with students 1 on 1 to best help their individual growth.

One of the main ways I stand out is allowing video lessons and video meetings. This is a great way for parents to still let their children learn; just from the comfort of their own home.

My favorite part of the work I do is seeing the students start to notice their improvements over a period of time, or even by the end of a lesson! Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a student really start to show a deeper appreciation for their passion.

I started teaching several years ago as volunteer work in my free time. I quickly realized though, that there was definitely potential to make it something more, but didn't have the time to dedicate to it as much as I wanted. I realized that if I could really start putting my time into helping these students improve on what they were working on, I could help them grow at faster rates and create individual plans for them.

Understanding that was what made me realize that tutoring was right for me. If I could get paid to help others, I could really start to dedicate my time into helping them improve.

I have drawn for most of my life and have worked freelance and on individual commissions for logos, small animations, digital art and traditional art for many people. My years of experience and understanding the basic fundamentals can help many individuals starting out and or looking to improve very efficiently.

For music related tutoring, I have played violin for over eight years and have several years of volunteer experience working with small groups to help them improve. After several weeks students are able to see a very noticeable improvement in their skill levels and music capabilities.

About the lesson

One of the first things I do when working with a new student is to assess what skill level they are at. After understanding what skill level a student is at, I then see where they or a parent wants them to be.

This works very well for both learning an instrument or progressing in the arts. The possibilities for both music and arts are more limitless than many other subjects and allow creative freedom. Understanding what a student wants from their lessons and allowing them to understand some basics though, are the first steps.

I normally charge an hourly rate of $25 for my skills, time, lesson plan, and making sure that the student gets the most possible out of each lesson.

Depending on what the end goal of the lessons are, their current skill level, and how long I predict it will take to achieve the level they want, I will create a weekly plan. This can include several lessons per week or just one depending on how quick they are looking to achieve their end result.

Prices can definitely be discussed and negotiated depending on how long I think it will take the student to achieve their end goal. For fewer overall lessons, I tend to stick with the $25/hr rate
