About Khaleel

I believe that learning is a skill that can itself be mastered. I would define understanding as the ability to teach others confidently and comfortably.

My objective is to help my clients become more efficient and confident thinkers.

I derive immense pleasure from teaching.

I graduated from Emory University with a master's in Divinity and wanted to take my passion for youth development, service, and education into the public school system.

I've found it to be a natural fit.

I am a certified "middle grades" (4-8) public school teacher of 4 years. I've been tutoring in math and science after-school the full duration of those four years.

Before I entered the public school system I served as a chaplain in a women's transitional facility where I offered spiritual educational services and counseling

I specialize in helping students to perceive the practical relevance of mathematical concepts.

About the lesson

Let's coordinate a time to review your learning goals, strengths, and weaknesses.

let's also determine how often to meet and what specific actions we should take to most efficiently facilitate your development as a thinker.

The full range, from mid-high functioning autism, a.d.h.d, a.d.d, to the plain old apathetic. I've helped highly motivated and high performing students and very poor performing students learn to love to learn.

To hire me.

I've recently become much better acquainted with online teaching

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Spend time attempting the work you find most difficult, do all the aspects of the work that you are able to, then use what you know to help you identify what’s confusing you. Identifying what it is that you do not understand simultaneously boosts your confidence ( by helping you see that you do understand) and simplifies the process of finding help when it’s needed by enabling you to fluently articulate your needs.

Mr. Barnwell has been one of the most attentive teachers my daughter has ever encountered. He is extremely patient and passionate about teaching and helping. I am so appreciative that he has been so flexible to my daughter's instructional and schedule needs. If I ever find ourselves in need of a tutor again, Mr. Barnwell will definitely be the first person we reach out to.
