About Joshua

I’m a hardworking analyst with hands-on experience across insurance pricing, risk, and data automation, currently studying to become a qualified actuary. Outside of work, I’m passionate about health and fitness — and I bring that same focus and discipline into everything I do. Whether it’s streamlining a model or helping someone reach their goals, I love finding ways to unlock potential and make progress happen.

About the lesson

I adapt my teaching style to suit whatever works best for the student — whether that’s working through problems together on a whiteboard, using pen and paper, or collaborating digitally online. I always start with a relaxed conversation to get to know how the student thinks, what they struggle with, and where they feel confident. From there, we work through different examples at a pace that feels comfortable, with plenty of space for questions and reflection. I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel safe to challenge themselves and proud of the progress they make.
