About Alimur

My name is Alimur Rahman, and I am currently an undergraduate student in Computer Science & Engineering. My passion for education began in mid-2023 when I discovered an overwhelming fulfillment in mentoring young minds and helping them realize their full potential. Over time, teaching has become second nature to me—as effortless and essential as breathing.

Alongside my university studies, I dedicate my time to empowering students: breaking down complex topics, training them in critical thinking, and equipping them with the exact strategies needed to excel in their board examinations.

Outside the classroom, I am an avid reader of both classic Bengali literature and international fiction. I deeply appreciate the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky, Franz Kafka, and Victor Hugo—with Hugo's Les Misérables standing as one of my absolute favorites.

About the lesson

My Teaching Methodology
I follow a structured, concept-first approach to teaching STEM subjects. Before tackling complex problems, I ensure students deeply understand the underlying principles and mathematical derivations rather than relying on rote memorization.

Every single lesson follows a clear 3-part framework:

The Big Picture: We start with the core concept and real-world intuition behind the topic.

Deep Dive & Derivation: We unpack the core theory, formulas, and step-by-step mathematical proofs.

Application: We conclude with targeted exam-style problems directly linked to that day's lesson.

Structured Syllabus Mastery: Complete 100% of the syllabus ahead of official exam deadlines.

Topical Past-Paper Practice: Solve topic-wise questions alongside each module to reinforce theory immediately.

I've been taking lessons with this tutor for my O Levels, covering Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. What I appreciate most is how he break down complex topics into clear, logical steps instead of just handing me formulas to memorise. They always make sure I understand the "why" behind something before moving on.

Since I only do STEM subjects (no Biology), he have been great at connecting ideas across subjects — for example, linking the maths I use in Physics with the same concepts in Computer Science. That made a lot of topics click for me.

He also adapt lessons based on my weak spots. If I get something wrong in a past paper, we'll focus on that rather than going over things I already know, which saves a lot of time. He is patient, explain things clearly, and never make me feel stupid for asking the same question twice.

Recommendation: If you're an O Level student looking for a tutor who can explain Maths and Sciences properly and adjust to your pace, I'd definitely recommend them.
