About Hadia
I'm a Power Systems Engineer with over a decade of teaching experience, including a Master's in Electrical Engineering from New York University, where I studied as a Fulbright Scholar. My academic background is in electrical engineering, but my real strength is breaking down math and science concepts so they make sense, not just so they're memorized.
I've spent years teaching at university level, and I know that the biggest gap for high school students is usually not ability, it's confidence and clarity. My job is to close that gap. I focus on where a student is actually stuck, explain it clearly, and get them solving problems on their own so they walk into NAPLAN, VCE, or HSC exams prepared rather than anxious.
Whether you're catching up on fundamentals or aiming for a top score, I'll tailor each session to your goals, your curriculum, and how you learn best.

Teaching approach: I start by diagnosing exactly where a student is stuck, then build from concept to application rather than jumping straight to formulas or rules. In math and science, this means using clear explanations and real-world examples before drilling technique, so ideas actually stick instead of being memorized for a test. Lessons are practice-heavy: students work through problems live so I can catch confusion in real time and fix it on the spot.
Lesson length: Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes. Shorter sessions suit focused homework help or revision on one topic; longer sessions work better for building up a full topic from scratch or doing structured exam practice.
Qualifications: MS in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from NYU (Fulbright Scholar), BS in Electrical Engineering.
Over a decade of teaching experience at university level, including Lecturer and Lab Engineer roles, teaching physics-heavy and math-heavy subjects such as Power System Analysis and Renewable Energy. I bring that same clarity and structure to school-level math and science tutoring.
Who it's for: High school students preparing for NAPLAN, VCE, or HSC, particularly in math and science subjects. I work with students at all levels, from those needing to catch up on fundamentals to those aiming for top marks, and I tailor sessions to each state's specific curriculum and exam style.
