About DJ

I am a doctoral candidate in art history and I want to help learners at all levels discover the intertwined nature of visual and aesthetic experiences. Why do humans create images? What is the relevance of the history of art today? I am passionate about the visual world we live in and I love to connect the politics of history to its culture and time through visual imagery. I also curate and write critically about art!

About the lesson

I am experienced in teaching all university level courses but have a specialization in introductory level courses that survey the history of art. I use interactive and traditional lecture maethods in class but as a tutor I use my two decades of teaching experience (in ESL and humanities, art history) to individually tailor courses to students unique needs.
