My approach to private tutoring is learner-centred, structured, and supportive. I focus on helping learners understand concepts clearly, not just memorise content. I adapt my teaching pace and methods to suit each learner’s needs, using explanations, examples, summaries, and revision questions to strengthen understanding and confidence.
I am proficient in both isiXhosa and English and can teach comfortably in either language, depending on the learner’s preference. This allows me to explain complex ideas in a way that is accessible and culturally responsive.
In a typical lesson, learners can expect clear explanations, guided practice, exam-focused support, and opportunities to ask questions freely. I also assist with homework, test preparation, and revision, while encouraging good study habits and time management.
My lessons are aimed at Grade 8–12 learners (Senior Phase and FET), particularly those studying History and Social Sciences. I am especially suited for learners who need extra support, confidence-building, and structured guidance to improve their academic performance.
