About Emily
Hi, my name is Emily. I studied physics and Secondary Science Education at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I have always loved learning more about the world and exploring new questions. I started tutoring about 5 years ago, but I always helped my younger sisters with their homework :) I currently work as a High School Physics teacher at a charter school in Thornton, Colorado. Additionally, I have experience as a chemistry teaching assistant, camp instructor, and science program site leader.

I will work on getting to know the student to figure out what works best. I am flexible, adaptable, and open-minded. It is important for tutors to adjust based on who and what they are working on. I am happy to try various methods and techniques for any levels or science classes.

Emily is warm, personable and patient. Children and teens of all ages find her approachable and FUN! She makes learning fun and engaging. Emily is just a fantastic role model and educator!
I’m proud to recommend my older sister, Emily. She has always been one of the most hardworking, positive, and thoughtful people I know. Whether she’s helping with schoolwork, offering support, or taking on new challenges, she consistently shows dedication, patience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Emily teaches with clarity, kindness, and confidence. She explains things in a way that feels approachable and encouraging, and she always tailors her style to the needs of the person she’s helping. She cares deeply about the people she works with.
I highly recommend Emily to the Superprof community. Her positivity, reliability, and strong work ethic make her someone you can trust, not only to teach well, but to truly support her students.See more recommendations
