About Oxana

I have a Masters degree in English studies and over 8 years of professional experience in the field of language teaching. I have worked at several language schools and have given lessons as a freelance language trainer for various companies (including Bosch, Max Planck Institute) as well as for individuals of all levels and ages. At the moment I supervise language courses at well-known language schools in Nuremberg area and privately teach English for learners of all levels. I especially enjoy working with adults who want to improve their language skills and gladly teach them Business English. Thanks to various stays abroad in Europe and Asia, I am familiar with people from different cultural backgrounds and I can therefore find a proper pedagogical approach to every language learner.

About the lesson

I prefer using the communicative teaching method, which presupposes speaking as much English as possible and focusing on everyday situations and topics in order to promote my learners' language skills most effectively. After a detailed needs analysis, I develop personalized learning programs for them and we work specifically on their problematic areas. We practice grammar in a playful way, read interesting articles, watch educational videos and have lots of fun together. I use Oxford and Macmillan course books, authentic web resources, and self-made learning materials.

Teaching Anita is a pleasure. She is an intelligent and friendly person who came to me eager to improve her conversation skills. I gladly agreed to help her and we started having lessons regularly. I was more than happy to provide her with conversation practice and assist her in perfecting her pronunciation. As we proceeded with our lessons, I learnt that she is not only an interesting interlocutor, but also a diligent and motivated student, who is always willing to learn more. So could I wish for anything more? :)
Long story short, we have had a great time exploring English together so far and I hope that many more fruitful meetings are to come!
