About CASISON,
Hi! My name is Froilan Casison Jr., and I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University (DMMMSU) with a genuine passion for Math and Science. Studying one of the most demanding engineering disciplines has sharpened my analytical thinking and deepened my understanding of the very subjects I teach — from algebra and trigonometry all the way through physics and chemistry.
I know firsthand how challenging these subjects can be, and that lived experience makes me a more empathetic and effective tutor. I remember what it felt like to struggle with a concept, and more importantly, I know how to break it down until it makes sense.
I take my role seriously. I come to every session prepared, focused, and fully committed to your progress. My goal is simple: to make you feel confident, capable, and ready — whether that's for tomorrow's quiz or your final exam.
If you're looking for someone who knows the material, respects your time, and genuinely wants to see you succeed — I'm your tutor.

My Approach as a Tutor
I believe that every student learns best when they feel comfortable enough to ask questions, make mistakes, and think out loud. My tutoring style is relaxed and conversational — I don't lecture. Instead, I talk with my students, not at them. Whether we're untangling a tricky algebra problem or making sense of a chemistry concept, I create a low-pressure environment where curiosity is encouraged and confusion is just the starting point.
Teaching Methods & Techniques
I start by meeting students where they are. Before diving into any topic, I ask a few casual questions to figure out exactly where the gap is — because most of the time, a student isn't "bad at Math" or "bad at Science." They just missed one foundational piece somewhere along the way. Once I find it, we fix it together.
I rely heavily on real-world analogies and relatable examples to make abstract concepts stick. Formulas and equations are easier to remember when they mean something. I also use guided problem-solving, where I walk students through the reasoning process step by step, so they're not just copying a method — they're actually understanding it. Repetition through varied practice problems rounds things out and builds genuine confidence.
A Typical Lesson
A session usually looks something like this: we start with a quick, low-stakes check-in on what was covered last time (about 5–10 minutes). Then we move into the main topic — either something the student brought from school or a concept we've been building toward. I explain it conversationally, we work through examples together, and then the student tries a few problems on their own while I give feedback in real time. We close with a short recap and I flag anything worth reviewing before the next session. Sessions typically run 60 to 90 minutes, though I'm flexible depending on what works best.
What Sets Me Apart
I don't do one-size-fits-all tutoring. I adapt to each student's pace, personality, and learning rhythm. Some students want to power through problems; others need to stop and really understand the "why" behind every step — and I adjust accordingly. I also make a point of being someone students feel they can be honest with. If something isn't clicking, I want them to tell me, not just nod along. That honesty is what makes real progress possible.
Beyond content knowledge, I genuinely enjoy this. Math and Science light me up, and that enthusiasm tends to be contagious — even for students who've convinced themselves they "hate" these subjects.
Who These Lessons Are For
My sessions are designed for high school students (Grades 7–12) covering subjects such as:
Mathematics — Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics
Sciences — General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
I'm especially well-suited for students who are struggling with grades, preparing for exams (quarterly, semester, or national assessments), or simply want to deepen their understanding beyond what the classroom offers. I'm also happy to work with students who are ahead of the curve and want to be challenged further.
Whether you're aiming to pass, to excel, or just to finally get it — we'll get there together.
