About Agnel
Hello! I’m Agnel, an experienced Mathematics tutor with a background in both education and software engineering.
I have several years of experience teaching Mathematics and have helped students strengthen their problem-solving skills and build confidence in the subject. Alongside tutoring, I am currently authoring 11+ Maths Practice Books, Vocabulary Books, and Mock Exam papers for UK students, which allows me to create original, exam-style questions tailored to each learner’s needs.
My lessons are designed to make Maths enjoyable, logical, and approachable. Rather than encouraging students to memorise methods, I focus on helping them understand the concepts behind each topic so they can solve unfamiliar problems with confidence.
Whether your child is just beginning their 11+ preparation or needs focused support before the exams, I tailor every lesson to their current level and learning goals.

My aim is not only to improve marks but also to help students develop confidence, accuracy, and a genuine understanding of Mathematics.
I teach online and provide high-quality practice material, including original questions that I create specifically for 11+ preparation.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s current ability, learning pace, and goals. I believe that understanding why a method works is far more valuable than simply memorising steps, so I focus on building strong mathematical foundations before moving on to more challenging problems.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous topics, followed by a clear explanation of a new concept using worked examples. Students then solve guided practice questions before attempting independent exercises. As their confidence grows, I introduce more challenging 11+ exam-style questions to develop problem-solving skills and exam techniques.
I regularly assess a student’s progress and adjust the lesson plan to focus on areas that need improvement. Optional homework and additional practice questions can also be provided to reinforce learning between lessons.

Lessons are primarily designed for:

Most lessons are 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged for students who would benefit from more intensive preparation. Every lesson is conducted in a supportive and encouraging environment where students are comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their mathematical abilities.
