About Dhivyasri

Mathematics doesn't have to be difficult—it becomes enjoyable when concepts are explained the right way.

I have been teaching Mathematics since 2017 and have helped students from India, the United Kingdom, the United States, Hong Kong, and Australia improve their understanding, confidence, and academic performance.

My teaching philosophy is simple: build strong fundamentals first, then develop problem-solving skills that allow students to tackle even the most challenging questions independently.

Over the years, I have successfully guided students studying under CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, GCSE, IB, and other international curricula. My classes are interactive, concept-focused, and designed to make Mathematics logical rather than something to memorize.

If you're looking for a patient, supportive, and experienced tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students succeed, I'd be delighted to help you achieve your academic goals.

Every student learns differently, so I never follow a one-size-fits-all approach.

My lessons include:

• Concept-based teaching from the fundamentals
• Step-by-step problem solving
• Shortcuts and exam techniques where appropriate
• Regular practice worksheets
• Doubt-clearing sessions
• Homework support
• Test preparation and revision strategies
• Individual attention in every class

I encourage students to ask questions freely and focus on developing confidence rather than memorizing formulas. My aim is to help students become independent problem solvers who enjoy learning Mathematics.

  • 1. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Mathematics has always fascinated me with its logic, structure, and clarity. From a young age, I was drawn to how every math problem had a solution if you approached it the right way. Over the years, this interest only deepened, and I began to enjoy teaching my peers and juniors. That's when I realized I not only love learning math, but I also love helping others understand it. Teaching became the perfect way to combine both.
  • 2. What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My motivation has always been the students I teach. I love seeing the "aha" moments when a difficult concept finally clicks. It gives me a deep sense of purpose. I also draw inspiration from one of my school teachers who made even the most complex topics feel simple and fun. She helped me see the value of patience, empathy, and creativity in teaching-qualities I now try to bring to every class.
  • 3. How does your work help society?

Mathematics is not just a subject-it's a life skill. I help students build logical thinking, confidence, and problem-solving ability. These skills go a long way in academics, career choices, and everyday decisions. When students start believing in themselves and their ability to learn, they carry that confidence into every part of their lives. In that way, I believe my work helps shape capable, confident individuals for the future.
  • 4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

Sal Khan, the founder of Khan Academy, is a major role model for me. His work in making high-quality education freely accessible to all students, regardless of their background, is deeply inspiring. He teaches in a way that's simple, relatable, and empowering-and that's exactly how I want my students to feel in every class.
  • 5. Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy gardening, colouring, and cooking. Gardening brings me peace and a sense of connection to nature. Colouring helps me relax and express creativity, while cooking allows me to explore flavors and share joy with my family. These hobbies keep me refreshed and balanced, which in turn helps me be more present and energetic during my teaching sessions.
  • 6. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

One of my favorite memories is of a student who used to be terrified of word problems in math. After a few weeks of working together, she not only started solving them with ease but began creating her own questions to challenge me back! Her transformation was incredible, and it reminded me how powerful the right guidance and encouragement can be. That's what keeps me going every day.
