About JP
While I was completing my undergraduate degree, I tutored beginning astrophysics classes for a couple months! I consider myself to be a very down-to-earth teacher, and I love finding new and inventive ways to teach (I especially love seeing students' "aha" moments when something finally sinks in).

I believe I have a very hands-off approach when it comes to teaching, which includes asking reaffirmation questions to gauge understanding ("Can you explain to me this new concept I just taught in your own words?"), example problems. I do not touch the student' paper or do the work for them; instead, I walk them through it verbally and let them write and solve problems for themselves.
