About Paul
I’m a Finance and Accounting student at Trinity University, a Dean’s List honoree, college athlete, and experienced math tutor. I’ve worked one-on-one with students in math and have also helped classmates and teammates across a range of academic subjects. I’m patient, dependable, and focused on explaining concepts in a way that actually makes sense rather than simply giving answers. Outside of tutoring, I run my own e-commerce business and have built technical and AI projects, which has strengthened my problem-solving and communication skills. My goal is to help students become more confident, independent, and comfortable with math.

I focus on making math clear, practical, and much less intimidating. I tutor statistics, geometry, algebra, precalculus, and calculus, and more. I tailor each lesson to the student’s current class, assignments, and goals. I usually start by identifying where the student is getting stuck, explain the underlying concept step by step, work through examples together, and then have the student solve problems independently so I can correct mistakes in real time. I also create additional practice when needed rather than simply giving answers. As a Dean’s List Finance and Accounting student with one-on-one tutoring experience, I’m especially good at breaking complicated quantitative concepts into simpler pieces. My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and introductory college-level students.
