About Anvesha
Having had inspiring and utterly supportive teachers and professors all my student life, I have been fortunate to have been able to pick up the right soft skills to be a successful teacher. To me, a good teacher recognizes each student's strengths and the areas they need direction in, which are unique to each individual, and optimizes the methods and resources in the best possible way to match the student's wavelength of absorbing information and learning. I try to be a good teacher but more importantly, a confidante who they can be honest with about how they are feeling about a certain subject/topic or learning method.

- I taught college-level math coursework like linear algebra and real analysis to proficient high school students for a year
- I have also taught middle school students math and programming in Python for another year
- Privately, in the form of one-on-one sessions, I have taught middle and high school students AP and school-level math many of whom consistently received rewarding results in class with As and A-s.
- I believe in open communication with my student and designing the lessons so that they cater to each student's learning styles and needs
- My good camaraderie with my students and the comfort allow them to be honest about any feedback they have about my teaching which helps elevate the learning process for both parties.
- Usually, I start with the topics of the day, read through and explain some material with the student and once I have gone through a couple of examples with them, I ask them to solve some questions independently while helping them as and when necessary along the way. This method has worked great for most of my students.
