About Jiaqi

Hello there! I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be your tutor and help you excel in your math journey. Let me take a moment to introduce myself and share what makes me a reliable and professional tutor.

With a double major in financial administration and data science from Western University, I bring a strong academic background and expertise in mathematics and statistics. I am passionate about these subjects and genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with students like you.

Throughout my academic journey, I had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant for various economics courses. Additionally, I was selected as one of the tutors for the Management, Economics, & Mathematics (MEM) help center at King's University College. In this role, I provided support to college students by assisting them with their mathematical and statistical challenges.

As your tutor, my top priority is to inspire confidence in your mathematical abilities. I believe that everyone has the potential to succeed in math, and I am here to guide and support you every step of the way. Together, we will work towards building a solid foundation of mathematical concepts, enhancing your problem-solving skills, and achieving your academic goals.

I understand that learning can sometimes feel challenging or overwhelming, but rest assured that I am committed to creating a friendly and engaging learning environment. I strive to make math relatable and practical by incorporating real-life examples and interactive activities into our lessons. This approach not only helps in understanding the subject matter but also makes the learning process enjoyable.

I look forward to embarking on this learning journey with you and making math an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or to schedule our first session. Let's dive into the world of math together and unleash your true mathematical potential!

As a tutor, my approach is student-centred, focusing on understanding the unique needs and learning styles of each individual. Here's an overview of my teaching methodology and techniques:

1. Personalized Instruction: I believe in tailoring my teaching methods to match the specific needs of my students. I assess their strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences to create a customized learning experience that maximizes their understanding and progress.

2. Conceptual Understanding: I emphasize building a strong foundation of mathematical concepts. Rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures, I strive to foster a deep understanding of the underlying principles. This approach helps students develop critical thinking skills and apply their knowledge effectively.

3. Practical Application: I integrate real-world examples and practical applications into my lessons to make the subject matter relatable and engaging.

4. Interactive and collaborative learning: I encourage active participation and engagement during lessons.
