About Yiyi
Hello everyone, my name is Yiyi (he/him), and I am a current student at Rice University in Houston, TX! I am a recent graduate of high school, meaning I can help with whatever you may be struggling with as a student who had recently dealt with those problems myself! I took the SAT a total of 4 times, receiving a score of 1580 on my 4th attempt (with scores of 1500+ on 3 of the 4 attempts!)
I also took a variety of math courses and science courses in high school, ranging from AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Calculus AB and BC, Precalculus, Algebra 2, Geometry, and AP Statistics. I received a 5 on virtually all of those AP tests, with a 4 in AP Physics 2.
In addition, I have also semifinal'ed the USA Biology Olympiad twice, and was a national qualifier for the US National Chemistry Olympiad, both in my Junior and Senior years.
I hope we can work together to solve any problems you may have and better your understanding in anything STEM-related!

I like to challenge students. I want to help you grow through performance-based progress tracking and explanation-to-example methods.
A typical lesson might last 1 hour:
-We first start by reviewing the previous lesson homework and seeing what the student may have struggled with.
-Then, we continue with the lesson, which may last about 20-30 minutes.
-Finally, the student then experiences about 15-20 minutes of guided problem-solving with examples and asking questions.
With over 75 hours of experience tutoring with StudyCore LLC, a SAT tutoring corporation, increasing scores by 150+ points, I will help your student succeed on all fronts of mathematics and logic.
Lessons are for everyone, but typically more personalized towards a high-school level of mathematics and science.
I can also help with additional support for what the student may not be understanding in school! Just ask, and we can talk about what we need to do to help you succeed.
