About Joshua
Over the years I have tutored in numerous subjects. In high school I received a 4.0 Unweighted GPA, and a 4.43 Weighted GPA, passing AP Exams in U.S. History, Biology, Calculus AB and BC, Physics 1 and Physics C: Mechanics, Psychology, Computer Science Principles, World History, English Literature and Composition, Environmental Science, and U.S. Government and Politics. I also received a 1470 SAT Score on my first attempt (out of 1600), have tutored in SAT Subjects, and have received a 22 Academic Average on the Dental Admissions Test (DAT) (with the national average being approximately an 18). Finally, my years of college STEM have given me significant proficiency in college-level biology, physics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry; my years of Asian American Studies and General Education Requirements at UCLA have also left me quite proficient in my writing and reading comprehension skills.

I have tutored students from elementary to college for the past 7 years. I take the approach of an understanding tutor that gauges student comfortability with subjects and topics and then adapts to the situation accordingly. Once I've gauged student comfortability, I formulate the lesson plan and ensure the student has ample time to receive instruction and ask clarifying questions.
