About Croteau

Je donne mes cours à mon domicile. Ce sont des cours d'une heure; mais j'adapte l'horaire selon les besoins et les capacités. Bien que je puisse accompagner au piano de façon simplifié, je ne suis pas pianiste et pour me permettre de mieux écouter l'élève, j'utilise régulièrement des outils informatiques pour accompagner (Finale, Sibelius, SmartScore et enregistrer...) Nous commencerons d'abord par établir les connaissances déjà acquises pour compléter ... De façon occasionnelle je peux aussi donner le cours en ligne; mais idéalement il faudrait vous entendre "live".

About the lesson

On ne vit pas pour chanter; on chante pour vivre comme d'autres écrivent pour vivre. Notre voix change tout au long de notre vie, comme aussi toutes les parties de notre corps et de notre être. Ainsi il ne s'agit pas de trouver une voix, mais plus d'explorer le potentiel de résonance de notre corps dans l'espace-temps et d'apprendre à s'en servir pour aller chercher la reconnaissance de l'autre ou des autres, par la qualité d'interprétation dans le rythme, le contrôle des couleurs de la voix, le jeux émotifs... Mon objectif est plus de s'aider à être toujours plus avec l'outil de la voix, du chant et/ou de la musique. Aussi le repertoire est ouvert à tous les styles pourvues qu'il facilite une exploration vocale, une expérience d'être, un encouragement à apprendre...

We didn't get anough lesson until now for a real perception for the singing voice; but he has a good potentiality for rich voice, no problem for the pitch, musicality, rythm. Actually stress is binding, but it will pass.

Nice speaking voice, good signer, on pitch, learn well his partiton, good prononciation in italien (no problem niether in french and surely not in English), learn easily the concept of equality of the voice's color.
