About Jolie
My Computer Science knowledge is grounded in my history of learning math. Math is the reason I chose Computer Science as a major – and it is the reason I can uniquely appreciate everything around me in this world.
What makes a young person, like me, stand out as a tutor is my modernism. I am well-versed in many, newer approaches to learning math – which will ensure parallelism to how a student first learned a concept in class. But, my diverse knowledge and varied approaches will truly help instill the concept in their mind.

I like to emphasize real-world practicality, as it tends to attract a student’s attention and increase their genuine desire to understand a concept. I’ll first present a concept in a global sense, and then I will break down the concept into smaller and smaller pieces. Once the student can work through problems microscopically, they can then, more easily, put those pieces back together to understand the bigger, complete picture.
I evaluate students’ weaknesses and strengths – and then cater my lesson plans to their individual needs.
As I am wrapping up my Computer Science degree at Washington University in St. Louis, I am incredibly inclined to share my modern expertise with others.
My strong critical-thinking skills in combination with my authentic interpersonal skills makes me creative and charismatic in my approaches to educating an individual.
My innermost goal is to share my passion with others – which translates to a fun, refreshing learning environment for students to learn.
