About Cheyenne

I am a professional musician holding a degree in music with experience in orchestral, jazz, and music theater styles of instrumental music. I have been in the orchestra for the productions of "The Sound of Music," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Into the Woods," and more. I also have experience in jazz, live improv, and classical music.

About the lesson

I teach students how to read music and the theory in the pieces they are working on. We work towards being able to understand what it is they are hearing and why. A typical lesson will start with any questions you have about the previous lesson, then we will look at the music you are working on and discuss technique, dynamics, or whatever the lesson that day happens to be about. Lessons are for all ages of musicians and can be tailored to each person's needs.

I currently take voice lessons from Cheyenne, and she is really great. She is always excited to see me and she is really encouraging. The ways she gets excited while talking about music makes you want to hear what she has to say. She is always kind and tries to explain things in different ways to help you understand. I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn music.

Cheyenne is super knowledgeable about music technique, history, theory, you name it. When she starts talking about music, you can feel how much she loves it. She is also very kind and patient. I love that she always sets a specific time for questions and comments when she is teaching. 10/10 would recommend.
