About Veda
Hi! My name is Veda Bergwall, and I am a professional flutist located in Carpentersville, IL. I hold a master's degree in concert performance and music education from the Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory. I am a laureate of multiple international competitions:
• Master prize and best Bach performance special award, Bach international music competition, London, November 2024
• Grand Prix in the category “Contemporary music” and special prize for excellent technique, “UK International Music competition” London, February 2023
• 1st place, “Kingdom art stars” competition, London, February 2021.
I have performed solo, in ensembles and in orchestras for the last 7 years. I have given private lessons to students of all ages and skill levels for the past 5 years. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, which gives me unique insight specifically into teaching strategies.

Whether you are playing your first notes, learning the flute part for middle school or high school band, preparing for a competition or for an audition for a music college, or picking up the instrument after many years - I am happy to help share my knowledge and love for the flute with you! I can also help learn how to read flute music and teach basic music theory and music history relevant to the music we are learning.
