About Jarred
I am a licensed chemistry teacher with a deep passion for chemistry, mathematics, and other sciences. I have been a paid tutor for the past 3 years and have been helping students and peers alike for about 8 years. I recently completed a semester of student teaching in chemistry and was able to teach my students chemistry. During this semester, I taught a total of 60 kids in 3 different courses: Physical Science, Pre-AP Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. I love helping students learn the exciting world of chemistry.

The way I have learned to approach classroom instruction is to build relationships with my students. The best way to teach a group of students is to tailor instruction around their previous understanding and various learning styles. I have given lessons to high school students ranging from ninth to twelfth grade in the subjects of Physical Science, Pre-AP Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. As a tutor, I build upon what the student already knows and go from there. Having the student use what they know and learn at a reasonable pace is key to helping them learn.

Details
My rates do not vary per level of student. If distance travelled exceeds 30 miles, I will increase charge by $5 every increase of 10 miles. My policy on cancellation is that the first cancellation has no fee attached to it, but each cancellation after which is not legitimate (family emergency, ER visit, accident, etc.) will subject to a charge of $5.
