Super Tutor

Marina is one of our best Maths tutors. High-quality profile, qualifications verified, organised and responsive to lesson requests, and appreciated by their students.

About Marina

I am now a third year PhD student at the University of Glasgow doing chemistry and robotics, having received a 1st in an MSci Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde! I can help you with maths, chemistry and physics (Nat5, Higher, Advanced Higher, undergrad levels - the last is chemistry only). Currently based in Glasgow however thanks to Zoom I can help you wherever you are! I'm incredibly friendly and easy going - passionate about organic chemistry so let me make you fall in love with cool compounds, reaction mechanisms and NMR!

In the 2026 exam session, all of my students achieved As in their STEM subject, something I'm super proud of them for!

I now offer help with personal statements, viva prep and thesis draft proofreading. Please, get in touch to discuss your needs and we can develop a plan of action together! If you're interested in any of my scientific endeavors, please feel free to explore my projects through LinkedIn: @marina-gladkikh

About the lesson

My approach will be tailored to each student individually. It is important that everyone gets to learn in an environment they feel most comfortable in - I strive to give this to each of my students and create an atmosphere where they are motivated to learn and do their best. I am very patient and good at coming up with ways to explain things in an easy and simple way. Please get in touch with me to have a chat!

Perfect! We love Marina! She is very engaging and has renewed our daughter's love for Chemistry. We have gone from post-prelim funk to looking forward to the NAT5 in 3 lessons, and I'm sure it'll only get better from here. We couldn't recommend Marina highly enough.

Perfect! Marina is a great teacher. My daughter has already improved her results. Most important her attitude towards chemistry changed and my daughter no longer considers the subject a difficult one.

Perfect! Marina obviously puts a lot of time and care into planning lessons. She's very structured and methodical, she explains things clearly, and she sets homework and follows your progress if you're attending school alongside the lessons. She's super nice and has enough of an edge that you know you had better do the homework she sets! She wants you to get to that next level. Really great, comprehensive lessons.

Perfect! I’m just the father who arranged the tutor, by all accounts my son has very good things to say about Marina, she explains any issue he is having problems with, some times better and easier that the lecturer & deals with any messages promptly.
What more can you ask for.
Just give it a go

Marina was extremely helpful with answering my questions last year which helped me pass my exams. She explains things in ways everyone can understand and will also help guide to answers instead of giving them outright to help learn the method and background chemistry which was useful to answering similar style questions.
