About Elizabeth
Hello!
I am Liz! I am 21 and studying Business Management & Spanish at Cardiff University. I am currently in my third year studying abroad in Madrid, Spain.
I want the student to feel comfortable with asking me questions even if we have just recently been over the topic. You can never ask too many questions! I aim to be a personable, fun and approachable tutor that my students can talk to and discuss their thoughts on the topics.
I myself achieved an A* (8) in GCSE Maths, I love the subject so I constantly did practice questions and past papers. I believe that with repetition and a positive outlook on the subject any student can get the grade that they would like.
Sometimes it is simply the way that a subject has been described that can put someone off. However if a student learns in a fun and engaging way they are bound to change their views on the subject!

Primary, KS3 and GCSE Maths lessons!
My overall aim is for the student to strengthen their weaker topics.
The lessons will be based on consolidation of all topics with a deeper focus on the topics that the student needs to strengthen.
In the first lesson we will discuss the methods in which the student learns best and do some practice of a broader range of topics so that we can find weak spots that need building on.
At the beginning of the session if the student has any queries about some work they have been doing that week or any other maths-related queries I would be more than happy to help.
If at the end of a lesson the student would like to suggest what they want to focus on in the following class I would be very happy to plan the next lesson around that topics.
The typical length of the lesson would be 1 hour. 50 minutes of teaching and practicing time in total. The first 5 minutes will be for any questions or queries and then there would be a short 5 minute break in the middle of the session unless otherwise requested.
