About Wendy

I am an English Tutor and Public Speaker in a Public speaking and Leadership Club, Toastmasters International. I've taught ESL lessons for over 2 years both online and physically, Online lessons at Tutlo Poland and TutorABC, one-on-one lessons in the Johannesburg North Suburbs. I am a qualified TEFL Tutor and I studied Business Leadership and Management at the Stellenbosch University, Business School.

About the lesson

In my teaching experience I specialized in level K1-K12 offering ESL lessons to children and adults based in Asia (China, Taiwan and Japan), teaching both individual and group classes online. I used various methods of teaching in this ESL level such as the use of vocal variety, body gestures, attentive listening and class co-ordination. Student and tutor interactive engagement techniques such as note writing, pronunciation practice, props and incorporating familiar beliefs and behaviors of the student's environment to create a connection that leads to an open mind and focus towards learning.
I currently specialize in level A1-C2 (Beginners to Advanced English) courses. All one-one-one methodological sessions, Grammar courses, General English, Business English, English for Kids, Teenagers I and II, Human resources, Sales, Travel English, Social English and Everyday English for Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels. My classes are not strictly course based, they are also very interactive and strongly engaging. I encourage an outspoken and appropriate learning environment for all my students regardless of age and background because my biggest mission is to enhance a student’s learning experience through innovative teaching styles and methods tailored to each student's individual learning style. This allows the student to fully appreciate their English learning journey through personal aspects, school and work-life.
My main goal is to inspire students to become confident, independent speakers, listeners and leaders who are prepared to practice and master their communication skills as an astounding skill set for life.
