About Shahidul
Students can expect a calm, organised and genuinely supportive experience with Shahidul as their tutor.
Shahidul is a biomedical scientist with a First Class BSc and an MSc by Research awarded with distinction, which shows strong subject knowledge and study skills. He has previous experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant supporting large first-year biomedical practicals, where he helped many undergraduates who were nervous or unsure about science build confidence and understanding.
He also has private tutoring experience from Kuwait, where he worked with school-age students in science and maths and helped them move from low marks to good grades through regular, focused sessions. Parents and students saw clear progress both in results and in willingness to engage with the subjects.
Shahidul takes professionalism seriously: he prepares thoroughly for each lesson, keeps clear notes of topics covered and goals agreed, and pays close attention to spelling, grammar and clarity in written work. His teaching style is patient, structured and encouraging—he breaks ideas into manageable steps, uses plenty of examples and practice questions, and celebrates small successes to build confidence over time.

My tutoring is based on making difficult ideas feel manageable and building confidence step by step.
I start by finding out what the student understands already and where they feel stuck, then break topics into small, clear stages with lots of examples and practice questions. I use a mix of explanation, worked examples, short quizzes and past-paper style questions, and I constantly ask students to “teach back” in their own words so I know the idea has really landed. When someone is anxious, I slow down, normalise mistakes and celebrate small wins to rebuild confidence.
