About Nicholas

Hi, my name is Nick, and I would love to be your next tutor! I am a theoretical physics PhD student at UC Berkeley. I received my bachelors from Harvey Mudd College, one of the most rigorous STEM colleges in the country, where I took and tutored classes in physics, calculus, differential equations and more. I have a great passion for learning and teaching especially in the sciences and mathematics at the high school and college level. My ambition is to become a physics professor one day!

I have been tutoring for almost 5 years now including as a freelance tutor and as a professional tutor for my college's Upward Bound program. I am a trained teacher and tutor for high schoolers, and I have cultivated a conversational and individualized teaching style.

I also do research in string theory and nuclear physics, feel free to ask me about it!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is patient, meticulous, and highly personalized to the interests of my students and to the teaching methods which work best for them. I foster curiosity, critical perspectives, and making connections between disciplines. To these ends, I strive to create a balanced and collaborative learning environment.
