About Aleksandra
I am an undergraduate math major at UC Berkeley. I have been privately tutoring for a year (two students), and have experience helping my peers as well. My proudest accomplishment is helping my student get an A in a class she had failed several times before -- especially because I taught her study habits which now have her getting A's in her math classes consistently, now without my help!

I work together with the student to develop the technique that works best for them -- everyone's needs are unique. Generally, my technique consists of first explaining important concepts, then asking guiding questions to work through certain practice problems, explaining again things they missed, and assigning practice problems similar to the ones we did together, as well as pre-reading for the next topic we will go over. For students looking for test prep tutoring in math, I have them take a diagnostic test and approach the areas which need the most improvement first. Additionally, with students who are not inspired enough by mathematics, I try to cultivate their passion for the subject by leaving them with a fun riddle or logic math problem to think about at the end of the lesson, since these kinds of things are what made me fall in love with math in the first place!

$16 / hr if student can meet me on the UC Berkeley campus or over webcam ($75 for 5 lessons, $140 for 10 lessons)
