About Pamela
Who I am:
My name is Ms. Pam. I am a mom to four kids ages 31, 25, 14, and 12. I have a great sense of humor, and I am a compassionate person.
What I do:
I am a Bachelor of Education student at Kansas State University and in my junior year. I homeschool my seventh-grade son and supplement his online curriculum studies with reading, spelling, and health. I am also a team manager for my son's hockey team.
What I love:
I love reading, cooking, and gardening. I love hockey and football. I love my dog, Maple, and my cat, Max. I love Fall and the fun activities during this part of the year.
Where I live:
I live in Missouri.
Why did I choose education:
I have always been drawn to teaching. As a child, I would teach school to the neighborhood children, including drawing up lesson plans and creating my curriculum. I was the kid who was always excited for school to start and sad when it ended. I have worked in my sons' school as a tutor to K-3rd grade students. I found it rewarding to see the expression on a student's face when they finally succeeded at a task or received a good grade on their assignment. I homeschooled both sons during the summer and chose to homeschool my youngest son full-time this year.
